Are you feeling a bit frazzled? Truthfully, it’s been a big year for stress, so if you feel like you’re walking a fine line, you’re certainly not alone.
April is National Stress Less Month, and to recognize it, we want to dish out a few ideas on how you can stay cool, calm, and collected. Below are some tips to help you find balance.
Use that paid time off! Do you have a stockpile of PTO or mental health days? That time is meant to be used! Take what you need to recharge your batteries and stay at your best.
Don’t skip out on sleep! Getting at least seven hours of sleep is vital to your overall well-being.
Exercise. Seriously, move your body for at least thirty minutes a day! Getting your blood pumping will help you keep your physical and mental health in tip-top shape.
Take breaks during your workday. Get up and walk around for a few minutes every hour.
Spend time alone or with others. Whether you’re introverted or extroverted, make sure you take the time to do what fills your cup.
Make time to explore hobbies. Maybe you like hiking, art or even woodworking? Whatever it is you enjoy doing, set time aside regularly to do it.
Eat a healthy diet. Wellness starts with what you put in your body. Ensure you’re fueling it right with a healthy, balanced variety of foods.
Drink water. Sip that water regularly. Staying hydrated is essential for your health and creates the foundation for wellness.
