“A single act of kindness throws out roots in all directions, and the roots spring up and make new trees.” – Amelia Earhart
Who’s this wonderful woman? It’s none other than Lewis & Clark Youth Home Counselor Jessica Wojton! We want to recognize this spectacular human for her commitment to our organization and the kids we serve.
Really, it’s no secret Jessica is one fantastic individual. She has a heart of gold and a level of dedication that’s hard to match. Honestly, this lady moves mountains for the people in her world. And the kids we serve? They don’t doubt for a second her allegiance to our mission or charge to provide exemplary care.
That said, I typically ask for a few bullet points from teammates, then draft our spotlight posts myself. However, this time, I’m going to let our residential leadership do the talking. Below is what Associate Clinical Director Jordan Hinshaw, Program Manager Jimmy Trudo, and Home Manager Kelly Wojton had to say in recognition of Jessica.
“Jess is the definition of #YDIStrong and being a team player. She is willing to step up and help out wherever needed and always does so with a smile on her face. She’ll drive to Great Falls to help cover open shifts, sub to take kiddos to doctor’s appointments, grab groceries, and the list goes on. I love getting to work with Jess and having her on our LCYH/NSYH teams.” – Jordan Hinshaw
“It has been a pleasure working with and supervising Jessica. She cares about our kiddos, has a great attitude, and always wears a smile on her face. It takes a lot of patience, dedication, and genuine compassion to work with challenging youth, and Jessica clearly displays these traits every time she comes to work. She spends a lot of time with our kids taking them to appointments and outings, all the while completing her DAP notes and other job duties. I can honestly say that she enjoys her job.
Jessica also goes above and beyond, always willing to help out. Since working at LCYH, she has changed positions on three separate occasions based on the needs of our home without batting an eye. In addition, she’s been willing to help out on weekends and overnight shifts in Great Falls.
Our LCYH and NSYH teams are very thankful to have Jessica on board. She is easy to work with, loves working with children, and supports us whenever and wherever we need her. I just want to say thank you, Jessica. You deserve this spotlight.” – Jimmy Trudo
“Jess is just amazing to have here. She is very caring with clients, staff and always encourages supervisors to give her feedback to continue to improve her work at our group home. Honestly, she is just a sweet, caring person. She would give you the shirt off her back if you needed it.” – Kelly Wojton
Thank you, Jessica, for your commitment to our mission and the children we serve. You are a true champion of the YDI way, and we’re honored to have you on our team.
