For Immediate Release
March 16, 2021
Youth Dynamics has been awarded the Innovation Grant by the University of Montana Center for Children, Families and Workforce Development and the Children’s Mental Health Bureau. In an effort to strengthen our services, Youth Dynamics, also known as YDI, will use a portion of this grant to sponsor focus groups to see how we can provide even better care to the youth we serve. Additional grant funding will be used to improve transitional services for clients who are expected to age out of services and will be piloted at our Boulder campus.
Dr. Dennis Sulser, CEO of Youth Dynamics says, “Improving the quality and effectiveness of our services is consistently a high priority at Youth Dynamics. We are on the cutting edge of implementing trauma informed practices within our agency. Transitions of care and care-settings will be given considerable attention and the focus of the interventions this grant will allow us to afford. We are thankful for this opportunity to better serve and improve our trauma informed outcomes.”
Youth Dynamics strives to provide excellent services to the children and families it serves across Montana. Last year almost 2,700 youth received care.
The focus groups will be divided into three categories and will study community services, therapeutic group homes and therapeutic foster care. The groups will be made up of people across the state who volunteer to participate currently enrolled in services or who have previously received services. There will be a total of three meetings for one hour each. Participants will receive a total of $150 per person according to Clinical Director of Community Services, Moyra Anthony.
